ABOUT THE INVENTION
“We believe that everyone should feel safe and protected from bed bugs wherever they are,” explained Kevin Watts, President & CEO of American VMC, LLC, during a recent interview.
“Bed bugs present a growing international problem that impacts millions of people physically, emotionally, socially and financially. Resistance to pesticides has expanded globally and some solutions offered don't work, send the problem somewhere else, or are simply not practical. People don’t want to know that they have bed bugs. They just want to know that they don't!
Today marks a milestone for our company! The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) officially granted our first patent for an innovative IoT/AI device that combines multiple methods to proactively: attract, capture, and kill bed bugs – without pesticides.
The Bed Bug VMC™ is going to be a real 'game changer' compared to other products. We’re not just talking about another fancy trap or monitor. We are looking forward to making this product available as soon as possible.
The Bed Bug VMC™ can:
• Alert you, if you have a problem
• Effectively and efficiently kill the problem
• Then, confirm when you no longer have a problem.
Tests confirmed a 99.9% killing effectiveness!
To benefit fully from the IoT potential, customers will require a subscription and internet connectivity in addition to the purchase of consumables.
This pesticide free approach is better for your health and the environment. It is cost effective and provides a reassuring level of security day and night. It puts people back in control so that they can sleep knowing that they are proactively defending themselves, their family, and guest. That is the reassurance everyone wants at home, in school, at work, and when they travel.”

American VMC, LLC Joins The Global Vector Hub
DAYTON — The Global Vector Hub (GVH) developed by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and ARCTEC at LSHTM, is an exciting new online platform focused on the surveillance and control of arthropod disease vectors. It provides access to and exchange of information and data on vector control and vector biology by a worldwide network of vector researchers and people working in vector control.
“We are delighted to join The Global Vector Hub,” stated Kevin Watts, President & CEO of American VMC, LLC at a recent interview. “It is an organization in line with our corporate vision to conceive and develop new innovative and unique vector, monitor and control systems and products that will meet global consumer and commercial needs of today and into the future.”
Bed bugs are arthropods that affect the health of millions of people around the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes that bed bugs are a growing international health problem!
“In addition to the severe impacts of their bites, bed bugs may also be carriers or potential insect vectors of some 45 agents of human disease, as published in a scientific article in the Clinical Infectious Diseases: An Official Publication of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.”
“We are following closely, studies related to acquisition and transmission of diseases by bed bugs that are being conducted by fellow scientists and researchers,” continued Watts.
“Part of our corporate name VMC is an acronym for Vector, Monitor & Control Systems and our current focus is on bed bugs. Pesticides are harmful to our health and the environment. Resistance to pesticides is rendering them ineffective. Monitors are just that monitors – they do not kill. That is why we have invented a new device that is a proactive, automated, touchless system that remotely monitors and reports not only bed bug vector activity but also vector control by incorporating multiple methods to efficiently and effectively attract, capture and kill bed bugs – without pesticides.”
“It is our intention to make a solid contribution to the The Global Vector Hub through our research, data collection, and the global fight against bed bugs,” concluded Watts.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are parasitic arthropods from the insect family Cimicidae.
